Located at 236 S Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, Rustica operates as a modern european restaurant serving Kalamazoo in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group holds listings that did not fit cleanly into a food or drink category, mostly businesses that were pulled in alongside a restaurant in the same shopping plaza or that combine several kinds of service, such as a market with an attached clinic or a strip-mall unit that also does phone repair or tax preparation. The details here come from the public listing rather than a curated food write-up, so treat the category label loosely and check the business's own hours and services before visiting. Some of these are legitimate neighbors of the food businesses on this site, such as a nail salon or a laundromat in the same strip mall, while others are simply miscategorized on the source data and worth a quick call to confirm what they actually offer.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 5β8 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Rustica at (269) 492-0247; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is rusticakzoo.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 625 reviews, which is a strong result for a modern european restaurant in Kalamazoo and suggests consistent service.

Nice atmosphere, but you definitely donβt get what you pay for. My fiance and I went for our 1-year anniversary. And we wanted somewhere nice, so didnβt mind paying around $50 per dish, but the food just was nothing remarkable at all. I got the wagyu steak and she got some kind of fish. Mine was undercooked, but Iβm not picky, so no big deal. But even after just having the dish at our table for a few minutes, they werenβt warm anymore; just cooled to room temperature. Itβs like the plates had been sitting on a counter in the kitchen for 5-10 minutes before they got brought out to us. Our server was nice enough, but again for the price youβre paying, youβd really expect a phenomenal experience. She was no more or less friendly than a server at Applebeeβs. My fiance had put on our reservation that it was our 1-year anniversary, so we thought at least somebody would say congratulations (as they do at other nice places in Kalamazoo), but it went completely unremarked upon. We didnβt expect a free dessert or anything, but again, for what we paid for the meal, we expected them to at least mention the occasion. Itβs not a bad restaurant. But for what theyβre charging for food, you absolut

Lovely refuge; walked in around 730 and luckily grabbed one of the few open tables. Had sweet attentive service including wine recommendation of a delicious mersault. Food hit the spot and met criteria of our fancy foodie-ness.

Went here for our anniversary day dinner. Very upscale place with great drinks, chef prepared food and a very upscale atmosphere. Terrific service too. I had the Atlantic Cod and Debbie had the Bolognese Riggota. Then the chocolate brownie/ice cream for dessert. Delicious! We will definitely be back. It's rather small so reservations are highly recommended.

An amazing venue. The place is very homely and the food is fine dining worthy. I love my streaks and this was up there with the best. Service was fantastic, albeit we did feel rushed at times and I think the team just wanted to clean up as we were the last ones to leave. Totally get it. A must visit.

I had the Snake River Waygu Flank Steak, my fiancΓ© had the Bouillabaise, and we had the SautΓ©ed Bay Scallops as a starter. The food was very good. I highly recommend the SautΓ©ed Bay Scallops as a starter. The waygu was cooked perfectly but there was something different to the flavor that kept throwing me off. It's honestly just my taste, nothing against the steak or chef. My fiancΓ©s dish was very good as well. Their White Russians were A-1 and hands down recommend for a choice of drink. The service was impeccable, polite, and knowledgeable. We reserved a table so there was no waiting, even with us showing up 15 minutes early. The atmosphere was nice. Not loud and overpowering. The prices were reasonable for the food and drink menus. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try on your next business diner or date night.
